CURRENT WEIGHT: 445 lb (estimated March 1, 2006)
Current Goal: 250 lb (by April 1, 2007)
GOAL WEIGHT: 195 lb
I am a depression/boredom eater. I have been over weight all my life, but my extreme obesity started when I was 16. When I was 15, I weighed 195 lb. A month before my 16 birthday my father passed away. Over the next 6 months, I ballooned up from 195 to over 280 lb. I managed to get back down to 220, where I stayed until I was in my early-mid 20’s. By the time I was 28, I had gained quite a lot of weight. When my Ex and I separated, in the summer of 2000, I weighed 386 lb.
I managed to get down to 211, and kept it off for 4 years. Last year I finally managed to get down to 195 lb. That victory was short lived. A couple of weeks after I managed to reach 295 lb, I lost the one being I loved most in the world. Since then I’ve gotten back into my old patterns, and gained my way back up to 332 lb.
Although I am setting goals by weight, I prefer to measure my success with how I feel, and how my clothing fits. I would like to be a size 18-20. My first goal is to be a size 26-28, instead of a size 30-32.
I decided this week, that next year (April/May)that I'm going on a cruise. I plan to go on the Richard Simmons Cruise to Lose. I hope to get down to 250 before the cruise, so that I'll be able to enjoy it. What's the point in going if I can't even walk around and explore the ports. Also, Richard teaches aerobics classes for the Cruise to Lose people. . . how cool is that. I SO want to do it!
